Following a competitive national search, the Victoria Children's Choir is pleased to announce the appointment of Kimberley-Ann Bartczak as Artistic Director, beginning with the 2026–2027 season.

Kimberley-Ann has been a valued member of the Victoria Children's Choir artistic team for several years, serving as Director of the Recital Choir and Collaborative Artist with the Concert Choir. Through her work with choristers, families, and staff, she has become a cherished part of the Victoria Children's Choir community.

The Victoria Children's Choir also extends its heartfelt thanks to David Stratkauskas for his years of artistic leadership, dedication, and service to the organization. His contributions have shaped the experience of countless choristers and families.

As the Choir celebrates 25 years of music-making, and with founder Madeleine Humer joining the organization for this special milestone Spring Signature Concert, 25 Years of Musical Transformation, it looks ahead with excitement to the next chapter of the Victoria Children's Choir.

Please join us in welcoming Kimberley-Ann Bartczak as Artistic Director and thanking David Stratkauskas for his remarkable contribution to the organization.

The Victoria Children's Choir is a Member of Choral Canada and the BC Choral Federation.

We would like to acknowledge that we gather on the unceded, ancestral lands of the Lekwungen speaking peoples – the Songhees and Esquimalt First Nations, who have stewarded these lands and waterways since time immemorial, and whose connection to the land continues to this day. We are grateful to live, learn, raise our families, and make music on these beautiful lands. We would also like to acknowledge our Métis, Inuit and urban Indigenous partners and friends who call these lands their home.
