Welcome on board our Sea to Sea Tour

This summer we’re performing from Sea to Sea, as a celebration of Canada 150!

In July, many of our students will embark on a Maritimes Tour – an exceptional opportunity for practical music education. As with our past Tours to the

Netherlands, California, Banff, Austria and more diverse locations, choristers will have an immersive experience the music of other cultures as they share a special repertoire of songs studied during this season.

By the end of their two-week Tour, thirty-five choir members will have enhanced their abilities and brought incredible joy to many hundreds of people who see them sing!

Choristers are getting ready for their 2017 Maritimes Tour. It’s time to Fill the Plane!

Tour fundraising makes a significant difference for our families. It provides financial support from people and businesses that directly helps children who otherwise wouldn’t be able to participate be part of a significant music education experience.

Can you help a talented young singer take part in Canada’s historic 150th Anniversary celebrations? There are still spots to Fill the Plane, in a range of contributions. Find out how to get on board.

CHORISTER'S FAVOURITE SEA TO SEA TOUR SONG!

AFRICAN CELEBRATION

Arr. Stephen Hatfield (1956), South Africa “I am looking forward to singing African Celebration. I love Stephen Hatfield, and the way the different songs and lines are layered is really cool.”

The Victoria Children's Choir is a Member of Choral Canada and the BC Choral Federation.

We would like to acknowledge that we gather on the unceded, ancestral lands of the Lekwungen speaking peoples – the Songhees and Esquimalt First Nations, who have stewarded these lands and waterways since time immemorial, and whose connection to the land continues to this day. We are grateful to live, learn, raise our families, and make music on these beautiful lands. We would also like to acknowledge our Métis, Inuit and urban Indigenous partners and friends who call these lands their home.
