Maritimes Tour Journal, day thirteen: the last performance!

Starting the day we visited the New Brunswick Museum to learn about the geologic history as well as about early settlers, industries, and culture. The guided tour, and whale exhibit, were terrific.

At lunch we sang for the staff, and then we reversed our route to the reversing falls – to see the tide move in the opposite direction. We also saw many beautiful homes and glimpses of the waters.

We walked through King’s Square on our way to the Saint John City Market, which originally opened in 1876 and is the oldest farmers market in Canada. It’s ceilings are built like an inverted boat keel.

Our final Tour Concert was held at the beautiful Victorian Gothic Trinity Church, and attended by a wonderful audience of over 150 people. It was a great end to our performances. Thank you to Steven Scribner and the Trinity parish supporters for welcoming us. And to our friend Deb Garey for making the evening extra special.
