Carla Tadla, Executive Director

The Victoria Children’s Choir (West Coast Children’s Choral Society) has welcomed a new Executive Director, Carla Tadla. She will immediately oversee operations, strategic planning, and stakeholder relations to further the mission of the Board of Directors: to create music that is meant to be shared with students and community.

With the addition of Carla’s unique leadership credentials, the Choir is poised to revitalize and grow its advanced program of music education and vocal training, and award-winning performance. Her formal education (from the University of Alberta [B.A.] and University of British Columbia [M.A.]), and vast body of work that includes Managing Partnership at Bridge Productions, a former position as Sr. Vice President, Operations at Reboot Communications Ltd., and previous business and event development positions (including launch of the Canadian Videogame Awards, and of PacificSport Fraser Valley) – bring both vision and “hands-on” experience to our organization.

Like the Choir, Carla is a supporter of people and her local community. She has served on over a dozen committees and boards with youth and/or social impact, including: heART for Hospice Art Auction, KidSport Victoria, Team 2010 – Abbotsford, Tourism Abbotsford, the Provincial Advisory Board for Regional Sport Development, Operation Red Nose Provincial Advisory Board, and the BC Olympic Youth Leadership Academy Board.

Motivation and achievement are ever-present themes in Carla’s life story. As a parent and self-professed “hockey mom”, a former competitive gymnast and coach, avid reader, and eager traveler, she pursues her interests with determination and helps others unlock the potential in their talents. In this way, she is excited to work with the Board, staff, families, and choristers to continue creating stunning musical arts.

Please welcome Carla to our team when you see her, or email a greeting now!
