A chorister’s story: Performing for Victoria Royals Hockey Night.

This season, chorister Hazel enjoyed performing and watching the puck drop at the annual Victoria Royals Hockey Anthem Night Fundraiser.

Thousands were in the crowd to see the Victoria Royals take the ice on February 12th, but our choristers had the beat seat in the house. “It is an amazing experience if you are a fan of hockey or even if you’ve only played a few times. When you step onto the ice to sing O Canada all your nerves go away and are replaced by a huge smile and a feeling of excitement.

And as you sing the lights shine on you, the players stand in front of you, and you feel very proud.

I had a really great time at the game and the Royals even won the game.”
