In Baddeck, the heart of Cape Breton, we visited the Alexander Graham Bell National Historic site. The museum has a beautiful view of Bras d’Or Lakes. Lunch came from the Herring Choker Deli, which we enjoyed in the tranquil Whycocomagh Provincial Park. Our picnic lunch was followed by a fun game of Frisbee.

In the afternoon, we arrived in Mabou (home of the Rankin Family) for a walk.
And then we were off to the Celtic Music Interpretive Centre at Judique. Here, Hailee LeFort performed a few fiddle pieces and told us about Ceilidh culture (including demonstration about the differences between the Irish and Scottish styles). She also demonstrated the jig, reel, and strathspey on her fiddle, and the step dances! The Choir sang Labour of Love.
We visited an interactive interpretive centre where the choristers tried playing the violin or learning dance steps.

At dinner in Port Hastings, at the Country Kitchen Restaurant, the Choir sang Farewell to Nova Scotia.
We bid farewell to Mike, our guide from Out of School Tours, by singing an Irish Blessing, and then headed to Truro for the night.
